MiKiDo MMA

MiKiDo stands for My Power Way. It was started in 1982 by Grand Master Mike Hess who has earned 6 different black belts in different styles throughout his career career (Tae Kwon Do, Judo, Mudokwan, Karate, and Kali). In kickboxing, Master Hess ranked #5 in the world and held the Virginia title for ten years, he also went undefeated as a kali stick fighting champion. He has had the priveldge of training under masters such as the Grand Tujon Leo Gaje (in Kali) as well as Rickson Gracie (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu).

As one of the first pioneers in MMA Master Mike Hess started his own style of Mixed Martial Arts before major promotions such like UFC. MiKiDo is a combination of Karate, Judo, Ji Jitsu, Tae Kwon do, Kickboxing, and Weapons training, basically, there is something for everyone. Since MiKiDo was founded in 1982, Master Hess and his family have successfully run community oriented programs, self-defense seminars, and charity events in Northern Virginia for over 25 years.

MiKiDo is now run by Master Hess's children, Brent and Nicole Hess. It is a family-oriented center where everyone works together to achieve the goals they never though possible, whether your a fighter training for a World Title or a mom trying to relieve a little stress.
